Nicholas A. Jacobs
Nick has been an attorney with SSD since 2000. His practice emphasizes water rights (both surface and groundwater), environmental law and land use matters. He has represented clients in all phases of administrative and litigation matters. Nick counsels various clients on groundwater banking projects, transfers, and conjunctive use under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). Nick’s practice includes federal and state environmental laws, including the California Environmental Quality Act, Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act/Porter Cologne, SGMA, and matters pertaining to property rights and entitlements. He is also experienced in Proposition 26/218 matters, flood liability, and state subvention law.
