Tyler is a Supervising Engineer in the Sustainable Groundwater Management Office (SGMO) at the Department of Water Resources (DWR). He is the lead of the Models and Tools Support Section and Project Manager for the development of the Fine-Grid California Central Valley Groundwater-Surface Water Simulation (C2VSimFG) model. Tyler has over 10 years of experience in water resources engineering with a background in numerical modeling applications. Tyler joined DWR in 2015 and started with SGMO in January 2017. Prior to joining DWR, Tyler worked at CH2M Hill on water resources planning projects that included groundwater and surface water modeling. Tyler also worked at the USACE Sacramento District for 5 years developing flood hydraulic models while completing his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a minor in Hydrogeology at UC Davis.
