Adam Hutchinson

Adam Hutchinson is the Recharge Planning Manager for the Orange County Water District in southern California.  He is responsible for testing and evaluating new methods to increase the capacity of the existing recharge system, planning for future expansion of the recharge system, and assisting recharge operations in developing optimization strategies.  He has over 30 years water resources experience.  In his 21 years at the District, he has worked as Director of Recharge Operations and as Senior Hydrogeologist.  Prior to working at the District, Adam spent seven years as a Senior Hydrogeologist for CH2M HILL working on a wide variety of water resources projects, with most having an artificial recharge component.  He has an undergraduate degree in Geology, a master’s degree in Hydrology from the University of Arizona, and a master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach.  He is also a Professional Geologist (PG) and Certified Hydrogeolgist (CHG) in the state of California.
