R.T. Van Valer works for Roscoe Moss Company, a leading manufacturer of water well casing, screen, and water transmission pipe based in Los Angeles. He began his career with the company in 2010 as the Product Manager for the Rossum Sand Tester division. In 2014, he added Director of Human Resources to his responsibilities. With GRA, R.T. served as Bookkeeper (2011-14), and Treasurer (2015-19), before assuming the position of Secretary in April of 2019. He has also served on many committees including his current positions on the Executive, Finance, and EEA, and was the Chair of the 1st Annual Western Groundwater Congress. Mr. Van Valer also coaches basketball at his alma mater La Canada High School, where he has enjoyed much success, coaching two undefeated teams, and was an assistant coach for the CIF championship teams in 2011 and 2019.
