David Leonard is the SBA Office of International Trade (OIT) Export Finance Manager stationed in the Atlanta U.S. Export Assistance Center (USEAC). He supports the USEAC offices serving small business in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee.
The mission of SBA's Office of International Trade (OIT) is to increase the number of small businesses that export and the volume of exports by small business concerns. It also has the legislative mandate to represent small business interests in multilateral and bilateral trade negotiations. As a result, the Office is structured around the most common needs of small businesses, including information, financing, and market access, by providing:
1) Information on, and early stage support for, exporting under the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP);
2) Access to financing through the International Trade Finance Division; and
3) Access to international markets, under the International Affairs & Trade Policy Division.
