Peter Pappas learned first-hand the process of business ownership transition buying and selling his own businesses. There were some hard learning experiences. For others, he has managed closely held business sale transactions up to $20 million and is now an independent consultant on business purchase and sale, focusing on exit strategy and execution.
As an educator, he was Adjunct Professor of business and Director of the Mitchell College Center for Entrepreneurship, providing education and counseling programs to small business. Prior to that, he was Regional Director of the Connecticut Small Business Development Center at the University of Connecticut. He offers presentations to any SBDC program on exit strategy, focusing on the commonality of issues and solutions regardless of the size of the transaction.
