A native of New York City, Michele Abo is Chief Sales Officer of Barrie House Coffee. Ms. Abo comes to Barrie House with 30 years of executive, commercial, and operations leadership experience in the consumer products, ingredients, and industrial sectors. In these roles, Michele focused on brand building, developing strategic commercial and marketing plans, operations management, and supply chain , customer service, and demand planning excellence. Prior to joining Barrie House, Michele spent a number of years in the beverage industry, serving as Chief Executive Officer of Finlays Extracts and Ingredients, a leading global provider of coffee and tea extracts and lea tea, and Chief Sales Officer, North America, for Lavazza Coffee, overseeing both the retail and food service business sectors.
Michele also has an additional 20 years of experience in the consumer products industry. She spent several years in the private equity environment as CEO/COO/President of 3 portfolio companies. Prior to those roles, she was with George Weston Bakeries/Entenmanns as Vice President of Sales and PepsiCo/Frito Lay as a regional director of marketing and sales. Michele holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University. She began her career in operations management at Chevron USA, then moved into an account executive role with Hargro Flexible Packaging A sports and theater food enthusiast, Michele likes to spend her free time playing golf and tennis and attending Broadway shows. She relaxes by cooking at home and enjoys vacationing at resort destinations that are golf centric.
