Dr Richard McGrath’s research interests focus on the use of sport, physical activity and the arts for community development as well as factors relating to the social determinants of health, particularly education, discrimination and disability.
Dr McGrath’s research incorporates the use of various research methods, including participatory action research, mixed methods research as well as evaluation research.
Dr McGrath has been engaged with a number of academic and professional associations for many years including the Australian & NZ Association for Leisure Studies, the Australian Health Promotion Association and Parks & Leisure Australia.
