Ms. Scott is currently the Purchasing & Contracts Manager for the City of Longmont. She began her career on the Procurement Services staff at her alma mater, Colorado State University. She joined the Purchasing & Contracts division in her hometown, the City of Longmont, as a procurement specialist in 2013. In Longmont, she has primarily worked with Planning & Development Services, the Downtown Development Authority, Community Services (Recreation & Golf, Museum, Library, Senior Services, Children Youth & Families, Community & Neighborhood Resources, and Housing & Community Investment-CDBG), Finance, Enterprise Technology Services, City Manager's Office, City Clerk, and City Attorney's Office. After the City experienced devastating flooding in 2013, she was the lead procurement contact for CDBG-DR funded recovery projects. While she has worked on everything from large capital construction projects to negotiating contracts for special events, an area of specialty she is fond of is software/IT procurement. She has been on the board of directors for the Rocky Mountain Governmental Purchasing Association ("RMGPA") for 5 years. She is a past programs committee chair (2015), past president (2017), and current treasurer.
