Laurie Strouse

Laurie Strouse is an Early Learning Program Specialist with Penn State Better Kid Care. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Rowan University and spent fourteen years working in early childhood settings as a teacher, mentor, and coach. She has worked with multiple age groups and curriculum frameworks but spent most of her career as a supervising teacher embedded in a mixed age preschool classroom that implemented inquiry-based learning through emergent curriculum. In addition, Laurie has spent five years providing professional development to ECE providers on topics that include: diversity and inclusion, social emotional learning, S.T.E.A.M., PBIS implementation, literacy, and emergent curriculum.
