Born in Mérida, Yucatán, México, María José graduated from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus with a degree in international Affairs. During her university studies, María José lived an international experience and completed a double degree at the École Supérieure de Commerce de Clermont-Ferrand, France, where she obtained a degree in management, and a few years later the MSc in International Business Development. María José began her career in international education at the International Programs Office of Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus. Later, María José worked with ProMéxico as an International Business Consultant. Since 2014, María José is the Director of University Relations at Istituto Lorenzo de’ Medici. In 2020, María José became a Certified Professional in Education Abroad through the Forum on Education Abroad.
