Jeff Bhe -  Group Leader, US Army, USAISEC-TIC, Fort Huachuca

Mr. Jeffrey (Jeff) Bhe graduated from North Carolina State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Enigineering and a Reserve Officer Training Corps commision to the U.S. Army Signal Corps.  Mr. Bhe is a gradute of the Signal Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Combined Arms and Services Staff School and the Information Systems Staff Officer Course.  His U.S. Army assignments include Battalion Training Officer and Platoon Leader for the 304th Signal Battalion, Korea; Executive Officer, A Company, 742nd Military Intelligence Battalion, 704th Military Intelligence Brigade, Fort Meade, Maryland / Telecommunications Officer and Tester, Fort Meade, Maryland; Chief of Force Modernization, G3, 1st Armored Division, Bad Kreuznach, Germany / Bravo Company Commander, 141st Signal Battalion, 1st Armored Division, Bosnia-Herzegovina (deployed) and Bad Kreuznach, Germany; Lead Test Engineer, Technology Integration Center (TIC), USAISEC, Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
 
In 1999, Mr. Bhe then took a contractor position with General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) as the Program Manager for ISEC-TIC overseeing PdM I3MP evaluations for all IT-related vendor solutions.  Successful commercial products were then added to the Army Approved Products List (APL) prior to the implementation of the DoDIN APL.
 
In 2009, Mr. Bhe joined the U.S. Army again as a DA Civilian.  In 2010, he began conducting evaluations as a technical lead at the beginning of the DoDIN APL efforts for the U.S. Army.  His efforts were centrally based on Interoperability testing for Assured Services Local Area Network (ASLAN) and Customer Edge Router (CER) categories of the Unified Capabilities Requirements (UCR).
 
Starting in 2016 and to present day, he has been the Group Leader/Branch Chief for the Technology Integration Center for ISEC-MED.  He is responble for the Supervision of 20 engineers, computer scientists and IT specialists that now cover 13 categories within the UCR.
 
His awards and decorations include the Army Superior Unit Award (1 OLC), the Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), the Joint Service Commednation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, the Army Overseas Service Ribbon Numeral 2, the NATO Medal and the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service (2x).  He is the recipient of the Signal Corps Order of Mecuriy – Bronze Award.  He has also received the Outstanding Engineering Award from AFCEA (2003) and the Technology Excellence Award from General Dynamics (2005).
 
Mr. Bhe currently resides in Sierra Vista, Arizona with his wife, the former Nancy Ackerson of Lucama, North Carolina.  They have one son, Eric Bhe, who just started his Engineering degree pursuits with the University of Arizona.
