Jay Kim is a full-time investor and host of the The Jay Kim Show, Hong Kong’s first dedicated podcast on entrepreneurship and investing in Asia. The Jay Kim Show was named by Inc. Magazine as one of the top three podcasts from Asia which are inspirational and useful to entrepreneurs. He currently serves as the Managing Director of a Hong Kong based SFC-licensed investment advisor (hedge fund) and has over eighteen years of experience in the financial services and asset management industry having worked in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong where he has been based since 2005. Jay is an active supporter of the start-up ecosystem in Asia and frequently consults with leaders in local government on topics related to technology, entrepreneurship, investing and startups. Originally from the Bay Area, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a minor in in Information Systems Technology and is an approved Responsible Officer for SFC Type 9 regulated activities.
