Carmen F. Castellano, O.D., F.A.A.O

Carmen F. Castellano, O.D. is owner of The Koetting Associates, an optometric group practice specializing in contact lenses. He is a graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry and currently serves as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry, the Pacific University College of Optometry, the New England College of Optometry and the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at the Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Castellano is a Diplomate in the American Academy of Optometry Section on Cornea, Contact Lenses and Refractive Technologies and Past-President of the Heart of America Contact Lens Society. In addition, he is Past Chair of the American Optometric Association Contact Lens and Cornea Section. Also, he is a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academies of Practice in Optometry and served as the Benedict Professor of Practice Management at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

He has been a contributing editor for Optometry Today, consulting editor for Optometric Economics, consultant for Practice Strategies of the Journal of the American Optometric Association and has been active on a number of other consulting boards and panels. Dr. Castellano has participated in numerous FDA clinical studies for various contact lens materials, solutions and pharmaceuticals and has lectured and published on many topics related to contact lenses and practice management.
