Charissa D. Young, OD, currently specializes in dry eye management and custom contact lenses at Specialty Eyecare Group in Kirkland, WA. She graduated with honors from Pacific University College of Optometry and received the AOF/Vistakon Contact Lens Excellence Award and Lion's Club Community Service Award. She is involved in active research in contact lenses and dry eye, particularly in the areas of scleral lens wear, keratoconus, meibomian gland dysfunction, tear osmolarity, and ocular surface inflammation. Dr. Young also leads eyecare missions regularly to rural and low-income areas in Thailand.
