I have been researching family child care providers for the past 10 years and researching child care for the past 25 years. The presentation will share my main insights from my research. I presented a version of the presentation I would propose to present at the California Family Child Care Network annual meeting in November, 2019. I am a member of NAFCC's Board of Directors and helped to craft NAFCC's response to the Power to the Profession Decision Cycle 7+8 and final Unifying Framework. I was a co-author of the Conceptual Model for Quality in Home-Based Child Care published by the US Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation at the Administration for Children and Families.
