All Our Kin is a nationally-recognized nonprofit organization with a model proven to increase the supply, quality, and sustainability of family child care. For three years, Natalie led All Our Kin’s policy efforts in Connecticut, working to address challenges and seize opportunities in support of family child care educators. Among these challenges were housing and zoning issues. Recently, Natalie transitioned to a technical assistance role, partnering with state and local leaders across the country who are eager to create the conditions for family child care to thrive in their communities. Natalie has presented on All Our Kin’s vision for thriving family child care—and the changes in policy and practice needed to realize this vision—through webinars and at national conferences, including: BUILD’s 2019 QRIS meeting, the Alliance for Early Success’ convening in Milwaukee in September 2019, and Ascend at the Aspen Institute’s ThinkXChange in October 2019.
