DESCRIPTION:Elham Mahamid Rozin, a Muslim, is the Israeli Women's Paralympic Goalball Team Captain, and is married to Michael Rozin, the Jewish captain of the men’s Paralympic goalball team, both of whom have visual impairments. The two met at a sports camp in Jerusalem, and, as Elham says. “We fell in love at first sight!” “Though we didn’t speak the same language, it gave me the urge to learn Hebrew.” They got married four years ago and are the proud parents of their son Amir, who is "baby" of the two teams. Elham Mahamid Rozin is a true ambassador for how Paralympic sports can be a tool to create a better society with equal rights and opportunity for all religions, beliefs, and genders.
