The United Nations provides a valuable training ground for students to learn about international issues while developing their organizational practice, policy, and research skills. This symposium focuses on the experiences of graduate students who have an internship placement at the United Nations. The chair discusses the benefits as well as challenges in developing and leading a group of graduate level students at the United Nations. Using the SDG lens, students discuss what they have learned about policies and practice issues that affect vulnerable populations around the world. Populations and issues discussed will be health, women, children, indigenous peoples, migrants, intergenerational, and the digital divide.<br />
