DESCRIPTION:It’s a pretty common misconception that homeschoolers can’t get into college. In fact, parents fear homeschooling their child for that very reason. To settle the debate, I want to talk about my experience from being homeschooled to going to college. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows all the time, but nothing is. If I hadn’t been homeschooled, I don’t think I would have been as successful in college as I am now. In my presentation, I will be addressing the homeschool to college transition, its positives and negatives, and a few tips. I hope that by sharing my story, I will break the stigma behind homeschoolers going to college.
