Sana Akhtar

Dr. Sana Akhtar started her career as an special educator in a special needs school. She joined the Federal Urdu University (FUUAST), Karachi, Pakistan as a lecturer and after completion of Ph. D has been appointed as an Assistant Professor. A substantial amount of Ph. D work was based on the catering needs to empower parents with special needs children by providing early intervention training and home base planning. Besides Special education, she has engaged in the field of Teacher education as well. For Community support and welfare wrote a book on “ Early Intervention” in native language. Apart from academia, work for the quality enhancement cell to develop quality culture in the institute, facilitating and supporting different departments in the university to assure quality parameters. Apart from this, working on different community projects providing awareness on early intervention, Inclusion of persons with special needs in community, sexuality education for PWDs and providing training on substance abuse issues.
