Kate Roberts

Dr Kate Roberts is an Adjunct Fellow with the NICM Health Research Institute at Western Sydney University. Kate’s background is in primary health care, mental health and traditional Chinese medicine. 

Kate recently completed her PhD at the Otago School of Medicine under the supervision of Professor Tony Dowell and Professor Jing-Bao Nie. Her thesis examined communication and collaboration pathways between acupuncturists and general practitioners utilising the case study of mental health. 

Kate continues to be involved in acupuncture education in New Zealand, specialising in research methodology and literacy for allied health professionals. In addition, Kate runs a busy clinical practice specialising in the treatment of mental health.
